My passion for transitioning into this field stems from over 14 years of harsh physical labor.

As my body began to wear down, I embarked on a quest for the best recovery methods. I explored nutrition, running, stretching, massage therapy, chiropractic care, and prescription medication, among other avenues. Through this journey, I discovered that proper stretching, massage, and carefully planned workout routines were the most effective and accessible methods for me.

I am thrilled that life led me down this path. Helping others has always been my passion, and supporting their wellness journeys brings me immense joy. Life is too short to live with pain, and I am dedicated to making a difference in the lives of those I serve.

During the 2020 shutdown, I earned my Certified Personal Trainer certification from the Brookbush Institute. After four years of internship at Elbow Grease, in 2024, I completed the program at NWTC to become a Licensed Massage Therapist. With four years of hands-on experience in the health and wellness profession, I’m dedicated to continual learning and growth. I regularly attend advanced manual therapy workshops with Katie, absorbing as much as possible to refine and enhance my clinical skills.

To recharge, I hike with my dogs, play guitar, and produce music. I also enjoy listening to Katie share the latest research or workshop insights she’s passionate about. Passion and perseverance are indeed contagious.

I found my passion for massage therapy during a daunting year of high school.

My father was diagnosed with Ankylosing Spondylitis, my stepmother with Plantar Fasciitis, and my mother with De Quervain’s Tenosynovitis. They endured nearly a year of pain before I started school for Massage Therapy. In college, I practiced what I was learning on them every week, witnessing their pain disappear like magic to a young therapist.

To this day, I carry the same level of passion for helping people live pain-free. My focus is to help you achieve your goals. Whether it’s eliminating pain during your golf swing, increasing hip mobility for a PR in your back squat, or reducing scar tissue, I’m here to help you reach your health goals.

I attended Everest College and received my diploma in 2008, passing the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork in September of the same year. My education is always ongoing. My primary training includes a variety of modalities such as deep tissue, trigger point, Swedish, prenatal, sports, and more. In recent years, I’ve added certifications in Rehabilitation Massage, Thai Massage, Yoga, Medical Massage, Nutrition, and Personal Training. I have also completed the Specialty Certificate program for Orthopedic Clinical Massage and Corrective Exercise.

In 2022, I became Board Certified by the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork (NCBTMB), which signifies the highest standard of excellence in the field, showcasing advanced knowledge, skill, and a commitment to ongoing education.

In 2023, I decided to further enhance my education by starting a Master’s Degree in Oriental Medicine. This advanced study allows me to integrate traditional and modern approaches to health and wellness, providing a more comprehensive approach to client care.

I genuinely look forward to working with you and being a part of your wellness journey. Together, we can achieve your health goals and help you live a pain-free, vibrant life.
